I'm sorry I missed the World Travel Market this year. Too much work and impending deadlines meant I had to cancel. It's like a one stop shop for travel writers and as you have said, a chance to meet up with old friends and make new contacts.

I'm also sorry I missed the British Guild of Travel Writers Awards Dinner at the Savoy on the eve of the World Travel Market. It's a great event and I'm delighted that my nomination Wadi Feynan Eco Lodge got a Commended Certificate.

Wadi Feynan Eco Lodge sounds like a great place. It's a fascinating part of the world, but not easy to get to, as you say, so it's good to have a base there - and an environmentally sound one at that.

How does someone get on the travel writers list for the World Travel Market? I would be interested in attending the 2007 conference.
